House Setting

Wow. The addition was set on the foundation today. It was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. The first guys showed up around 7:30 a.m. to start preparing, the crane came around 10:45 a.m. and the boxes (the addition itself) arrived at 11:30 a.m. The last of the big trucks (we had 3 big trailers and 2 cranes) left around 4:15 p.m. There are still guys hammering away in the fading light on my roof as they finish weathering everything in and connecting the roofs together.

I have 250 pictures from the day and will need to sort through them all to pick the ones to post. I'll try to get to it later tonight or tomorrow. I'm totally exhausted so I can only imagine how tired the setting crew is.

Update: OK, I uploaded a bunch of photos. The album displays the last photos first when you open it so to follow the flow of events you really should go back in the album (click on the right gray arrow) to the oldest photos and then move forward through the album.
